Dr. Langland is one of several orthopedic surgeons at the Steindler Orthopedic Clinic in Iowa City, Iowa. He is fellowship trained in sports medicine and arthroscopy and has a special interest in sports injuries and knee and shoulder acute problems (i.e., ACL, meniscus, labral, and rotator cuff tears) and chronic problems ( i.e., degenerative joint disease, impingement). Dr. Langland's education background has included training in the care of athletes of all ages and levels of competition. He has helped provide sports medicine care for two different Division I universities, an NFL team, multiple high schools, and an AHL hockey team. Therefore, he is comfortable providing care to all levels of athletes from the recreational weekend athlete, to the high performance professional athlete.
Dr. Langland provides patients the latest in orthopedic and sports medicine care by staying active in continuing medical education and attending numerous courses and skills labs during the year. His procedural skills include but are not limited to advanced arthroscopic techniques of the knee and shoulder. He is also a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and the Arthroscopy Association of North America.
